Pack Games & Parade

August 3, 10am-2pm, Civic Center Plaza

Join us Saturday, August 3 for the Pack Games & Parade! While the Olympics are taking place in Paris, your pup can join our Pack Games open ceremony parade, run through the obstacles of the agility course, join in the Olympics costume contest and visit dog-centric vendors. Please register for this free event HERE so we know how many doggy goodie bags to assemble. More info below!

The Details

Games & Parade Details

The parade starts promptly at 11am at Civic Center Plaza adjacent to the Helen Diller Civic Center Playgrounds, it will loop around the plaza and end back where it started, and then the games begin! The costume contest will take place at noon, please bring your pup in their finest Olympic look! Vendors will be open throughout the course of the event, and please look for the info booth for a free doggy bag for your pup.

Please make sure to register, even if you and your pup or only coming for a portion of the festivities, we want to make sure we have enough supplies and goodie bags for all doggos! If you’re coming sans pup, no need to register, but we look forward to seeing you there! REGISTER HERE!

Parking & Transit

There are two large city-owned garages (Performing Arts Garage and Civic Center Garage) and many private ones in the area. There is bike parking at the Civic Center Garage as well as at the Civic Center BART station. 

MUNI bus lines serving Civic Center include Bus Numbers: 5-Fulton, 21-Hayes, 31-Balboa, 47-Van Ness, and 49-Van Ness/Mission.

The MUNI Metro Subway includes all lines (J, K, L, M, N) serving both the Civic Center and Van Ness Stations. 

BART lines serve the nearby “Civic Center” station at Market and Eighth Streets.

Safety & Rules

All dogs must remain on leash for the duration of the event, and pleas be respectful of pet waste and disposal. If you need a bag, ask a staff member!
